Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabus-aligned teaching materials, including textbooks, worksheets, and multimedia resources. Collaborate with the history department to refine curriculum objectives and assessment strategies. Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss teaching methodologies and institutional goals. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct unit tests and examinations to evaluate students’ understanding of historical concepts. Organize field trips or guest lectures to provide hands-on learning experiences. Participate in school-wide events, such as history fairs or cultural programs, to foster student interest in the subject.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or an equivalent discipline. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree for formal teaching certification. Experience teaching at the senior secondary level is highly desirable. Familiarity with CBSE or West Bengal Board syllabi is a plus.
