PRT Music Teacher Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Bloom Bridge Heritage Academy in Kankurgachi, Kolkata, is looking for a dedicated PRT Music Teacher to inspire young minds through music education. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fostering creativity and cultural appreciation in students across Class I to VIII.
Responsibilities
Teach fundamental music theory, singing, and instrumental skills using age-appropriate methods. Design engaging lesson plans that align with Bloom Bridge Heritage Academy’s curriculum while adapting to diverse learning needs. Conduct group and individual music activities, including choir rehearsals and instrument demonstrations, to enhance students’ performance and confidence.
Prepare and deliver interactive music classes, including vocal training, rhythm exercises, and basic music notation. Collaborate with the school’s art and music department to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects. Maintain a well-organized music room with instruments and resources for student use.
Ensure compliance with school policies on classroom management and student safety while encouraging a positive and inclusive music environment. Participate in school events, such as concerts and cultural fests, to showcase students’ musical talents.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized Indian university. Possess a strong foundation in music theory, performance, and pedagogy, ideally with a music-related graduation or post-graduation background. Familiarity with West Bengal’s school music curriculum is a plus.
Experience
Proven experience in teaching music to children, preferably in a school setting. Two years of relevant teaching experience in primary or secondary education is mandatory. Experience with inclusive music education or special needs students is highly desirable.
