Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for classes VII to X, ensuring alignment with state curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Prepare instructional materials, worksheets, and visual aids that cater to diverse learning styles and promote conceptual understanding.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and recommending remedial strategies where needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, attendance registers, and report cards for each student.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that enhance mathematical thinking.
- Lead and supervise class activities, including group work, math competitions, and science fairs that involve mathematical concepts.
- Organize and facilitate extra‑curricular math clubs, ensuring participation and skill development beyond the classroom.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and curriculum review sessions to stay updated on educational best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance, attendance, and any concerns, through meetings or written reports.
- Uphold school policies on discipline, safety, and academic integrity, addressing behavioral issues promptly.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide assessment strategies and standardized testing preparations.
- Manage classroom resources, including digital tools, calculators, and manipulatives, ensuring they are available and in good condition.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect for mathematical ideas.
