Job Description
Non-Teaching Teacher (NTT) Position for EVS at Birbhum Public School
Birbhum Public School in Birbhum is looking for a dedicated NTT to support the Environmental Studies (EVS) curriculum. This role focuses on classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and engaging students with hands-on learning about nature, sustainability, and local ecology. You’ll help students explore real-world connections between science, geography, and everyday life through experiments, field trips, and interactive projects.
The job requires teaching EVS at the secondary level, where students learn about ecosystems, conservation, and human-environment interactions. Your lessons will blend theory with practical activities—think soil testing, waste management workshops, or visits to nearby forests or farms. The school values hands-on teaching methods and encourages creativity in lesson planning.
To apply, you’ll need a graduate degree and at least three years of teaching experience, preferably in EVS or a related subject. While a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential, a TET/CTET certificate is not mandatory for this role. Experience with experiential learning or environmental education is a plus.
Based in Birbhum, this full-time position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs.18,000 to Rs.25,000. The school provides a supportive environment for professional growth, though specific training or resources for EVS-specific teaching may be limited. If you’re passionate about shaping young minds through environmental awareness, this could be a great fit.
