PRT Computer Science Teacher Job in Melli, Namchi, Sikkim
Sunshine English School in Namchi seeks a dedicated PRT Computer Science Teacher to lead programming fundamentals, algorithm design, and digital literacy for students. The role demands expertise in integrating hands-on coding projects with theoretical concepts to foster problem-solving skills. Practical implementation of real-world applications—such as software development workflows and cybersecurity basics—will be central to your responsibilities.
You will design curriculum-aligned assessments that evaluate coding proficiency, debugging skills, and project-based learning outcomes. Participation in school-wide STEM initiatives, including robotics clubs and computational thinking workshops, is expected. The position requires adapting teaching methods for diverse learning abilities while maintaining alignment with state education board guidelines.
Qualifications for this role include a graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, with prior teaching experience in Computer Science or a technical subject preferred. A TET/CTET certificate is advantageous but not mandatory for this position.
Three years of relevant teaching experience is required, ideally in high school or equivalent settings where you’ve introduced programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. Experience mentoring students through capstone projects or competitive programming events will be highly valued.
The role offers a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, with the opportunity to work in a vibrant educational environment in Namchi’s Melli area.
