PGT History Teacher Position at Dips School | Rayya in Amritsar
Dips School | Rayya in Amritsar is seeking a dedicated PGT History Teacher to join its senior secondary section. This role involves shaping young minds with a deep understanding of historical events, cultures, and their significance in shaping modern societies. The position offers a chance to inspire students through engaging lessons and foster critical thinking in a vibrant academic environment.
Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with the curriculum, ensuring clarity and relevance for students in grades 11 and 12. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement, including the use of multimedia, discussions, and project-based learning. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Collaborate with the History department to design unit plans, coordinate school-wide history events, and participate in curriculum development. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and disciplinary matters while ensuring compliance with school policies. Represent the school at history-related workshops, seminars, or community outreach programs to strengthen academic partnerships.
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related field with a strong academic background. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification and at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a senior secondary school setting. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, prior teaching experience in Punjab schools is an asset. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000 per month, with the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational setting in Amritsar.
