Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans that integrate modern teaching techniques and curriculum standards. Collaborate with the English department to refine syllabus content and assessment methods. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and student performance trends. Ensure compliance with school policies on curriculum implementation and student evaluation.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic assessments and provide constructive feedback to students on writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. Organize cultural or literary events to foster a love for English through real-world applications. Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational trends.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related discipline along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level is required. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong command of English, both written and spoken, is essential. Familiarity with CBSE or state board syllabi is advantageous.
