PRT English Teacher Position at Cohen International School in Khordha
Cohen International School in Jantni, Khordha, invites applications for a PRT (Post Graduate Teacher) English role to join their dynamic English department. This is a full-time position designed for motivated educators eager to inspire young learners with a passion for the English language.
The selected candidate will lead classroom instruction for English as a Second Language, ensuring engaging and age-appropriate lesson planning. You will create interactive lessons that align with the school’s curriculum while fostering critical thinking and communication skills. Daily classroom management will include monitoring student progress, addressing behavioral concerns, and maintaining a supportive learning environment. Participation in departmental planning sessions will help refine teaching strategies to better meet student needs. Assisting in co-curricular activities, such as literary clubs or debate teams, will also be part of your responsibilities. Regular feedback sessions with students will help identify strengths and areas for improvement. Collaboration with other subject teachers will ensure cohesive academic growth. Attendance at school workshops and training programs will keep your teaching methods current and effective. Adherence to school policies and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions will be essential.
A graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Three years of teaching experience, preferably in English or related subjects, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be highly beneficial. The role offers a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, along with the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational community in Khordha.
