Position summary
PGT History Teacher at Koncep Public School in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand will design and deliver engaging history lessons to senior secondary students. The role focuses on building analytical skills and fostering a love for historical inquiry through interactive classroom activities and research projects.
Core duties
- Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons for classes IX to XII, ensuring depth of content and clarity of concepts.
- Integrate primary and secondary sources into lessons, encouraging critical analysis and discussion among students.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Coordinate with subject coordinators to align interdisciplinary projects and school events with the history curriculum.
- Mentor and support junior teachers and teaching assistants in instructional strategies and classroom management.
- Participate in curriculum development meetings, suggesting updates to textbooks and learning materials.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading records, and student performance reports.
- Engage with parents during meetings to discuss student progress and address concerns.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in History or related field. B.Ed or D.El.Ed required; TET/CTET preferred but not mandatory. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the PGT level in a school setting.
Compensation and location
Full‑time position with salary ranging from Rs.35,000 to Rs.50,000 per month. The post is located in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand.
