Planning and teaching Computer Science subjects at the post-secondary level, covering topics like data structures, software engineering, and digital literacy.
Developing engaging lesson plans, experiments, and practical projects to enhance student understanding and problem-solving skills.
Assessing student performance through exams, assignments, and continuous evaluation to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborating with the school management and other teachers to align Computer Science programs with national education standards.
Encouraging extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, hackathons, and tech workshops to nurture innovation and creativity.
Secondary duties include:
Maintaining updated teaching resources, including textbooks, lab equipment, and online learning materials.
Attending parent-teacher meetings to discuss student achievements and areas needing support.
Participating in school events and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and teaching methodologies.
The ideal candidate should hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in Computer Science or a STEM subject, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it would be an asset.
