The reality of this role
At Burnpur Riverside School you will handle classes of Grades IX to XII, guiding students through fundamentals of programming, networking and digital literacy. The day involves preparing lesson plans, conducting lab sessions, and assessing practical projects. What you will actually do
- Deliver the CBSE/State Computer Science syllabus using interactive teaching methods.
- Conduct daily lab work on Python, HTML, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Create and grade assignments, quizzes and term examinations.
- Organise coding clubs and inter‑school tech competitions.
- Provide remedial support to students who need extra help with concepts.
- Maintain attendance registers and update student progress reports.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops.
- Liaise with the school’s IT department to ensure smooth functioning of computer labs.
Who can do this job
- Post‑graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience at the TGT level.
- TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
