Core responsibilities
- Conduct engaging classroom lessons for grades 9 to 12, emphasizing both theory and practical work.
- Supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols and resource management.
- Curate field trips to botanical gardens, wetlands, and research institutes to enhance experiential learning.
- Develop and maintain a dynamic digital repository of teaching materials and student work.
- Provide individualized support to students requiring additional guidance or enrichment.
- Participate in school committees, contributing insights on curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports for students and parents.
- Organise annual science fairs and inter‑school competitions, showcasing student projects.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student growth and address concerns.
What you bring to the table
Post‑graduate degree in Botany or related discipline.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed required, with TET/CTET preferred.
Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
Strong command of modern botanical concepts and laboratory techniques.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for nurturing curiosity.
