Music (PRT) Vacancy in Jantni, Khordha, Odisha
Cohen International School | Khordha
Job Description
Cohen International School in Khordha seeks a dedicated PRT Music Teacher to join their team in Jantni. This role focuses on nurturing students’ musical talents through engaging lessons in vocal and instrumental music, ensuring a balanced curriculum that aligns with school standards. The position is ideal for someone passionate about music education and eager to inspire young learners with creativity and discipline.
The role involves planning and delivering music lessons across different grades, covering topics like rhythm, melody, harmony, and basic music theory. You’ll create age-appropriate lesson plans that blend theory with practical performance, ensuring students develop both technical skills and a love for music. Classroom management is key—you’ll guide students through group activities, solo performances, and collaborative projects while maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.
You’ll also collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into broader school activities, such as cultural fairs, school events, and extracurricular programs. Assisting in music-related school events, like concerts and competitions, will be part of your responsibilities, requiring enthusiasm and adaptability. Regular feedback sessions with students and parents will help refine teaching methods and address any learning gaps.
To qualify, a graduate degree is essential, with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred for formal teacher training. Three years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in music, will be highly valued. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, having it can strengthen your application. A strong passion for music, patience with diverse learners, and the ability to inspire young minds are what matter most.
This is a full-time position at Cohen International School in Khordha, offering a monthly salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.35,000. Join a dynamic educational environment where music education plays a vital role in shaping well-rounded students.
