Geography (Foundation) Vacancy in Rohtak, Haryana
RPS International School
Job Description
RPS International School in Rohtak seeks a dedicated Foundation Geography Teacher to inspire young learners with hands-on exploration of Earth’s systems and human-environment interactions. This role demands expertise in designing age-appropriate curricula that blend theoretical concepts with practical fieldwork, ensuring students grasp spatial awareness, natural resources, and sustainable practices.
The teacher will oversee development of thematic units like ecosystems, climate change, and urban geography, tailoring lessons to align with CBSE standards while fostering curiosity through interactive projects. Field trips to local watersheds, community mapping exercises, and model construction (e.g., topographical maps) will be integral to classroom engagement. Assessment will include project-based evaluations, oral presentations, and standardized tests, with a focus on critical thinking over rote memorization.
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory, with a postgraduate qualification in Geography preferred. Three years of teaching experience, particularly in foundational stages, will be highly valued. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a strong pedagogical approach and passion for shaping young minds in geographic literacy are essential.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs.60,000 to Rs.90,000 per month, along with opportunities to collaborate with a dynamic academic community in Rohtak. The role thrives on innovation—whether through integrating technology in GIS-based simulations or partnering with local environmental organizations. A proactive mindset and commitment to nurturing students’ geographic inquiry will define success in this role.
