The reality of this role
At Vikas Defence School, a day starts with preparing lab safety checks and revising the lesson plan for the next class. Students are guided through conceptual questions before the practical session. The role balances classroom teaching with occasional parent-teacher meetings and school events. It is hands‑on, with a focus on making physics relatable to the local context of Hisar.
What you will actually do
1. Deliver engaging Physics lessons for classes 6 to 8, using visual aids and interactive demonstrations.
2. Prepare and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
3. Grade assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
4. Coordinate with the senior teacher to align the curriculum with state board standards.
5. Update the class notebook and maintain attendance records.
6. Assist in arranging school science fairs and inter‑school competitions.
7. Mentor junior TGTs and help them develop their teaching strategies.
8. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to school improvement plans.
Who can do this job
Post‑graduate in Physics or related field with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting. TET/CTET preferred but not mandatory.
What you need to bring
Strong grasp of Physics concepts and the ability to explain them simply. Good communication skills, patience, and a proactive attitude towards student growth. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and basic ICT tools for teaching.
