The reality of this role
At Vikas Defence School you will handle classes of 10th and 12th students, guiding them through practical labs and theory lessons daily. The schedule includes early morning prep, a couple of periods of teaching, and supervising lab work after school. What you will actually do
- Deliver NCERT‑based Chemistry lectures for classes IX to XII, ensuring concepts are clear and relevant.
- Conduct weekly laboratory sessions, preparing experiments, checking safety, and evaluating student performance.
- Design and mark assignments, quizzes, and term exams in line with the board syllabus.
- Provide remedial support to students who need extra help, using visual aids and practical demonstrations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improving the Chemistry curriculum.
- Organize science fairs and inter‑school competitions, encouraging student participation.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lab inventory.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address concerns.
Who can do this job
- Post‑graduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc or equivalent).
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification is mandatory.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
- TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
