PGT Philosophy Teacher Position at Delhi Public School, Panipat
Delhi Public School – Panipat Refinery seeks a dedicated PGT Philosophy Teacher to inspire and guide high school students through the deep and thought-provoking discipline of philosophy. This role requires a passionate educator who can engage students with ethical dilemmas, existential questions, and historical philosophical thought while aligning with the school’s academic excellence.
Plan and deliver engaging Philosophy classes for Class 11 and 12 students, ensuring alignment with CBSE syllabus and curriculum objectives. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to foster critical thinking, debate skills, and philosophical reasoning among students. Collaborate with the philosophy department to design thought-provoking projects, seminars, and extracurricular activities that encourage intellectual curiosity. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including assignments, quizzes, and project-based assessments, while maintaining transparency and fairness. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that promotes respectful discourse and open-mindedness. Participate in school-level academic planning meetings to refine philosophy curriculum and teaching strategies.
A postgraduate degree in Philosophy with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential. Three years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a high school or similar academic setting, is required. Experience in philosophy education, particularly in Indian educational contexts, is highly valued.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.35,000 per month and is based in Panipat, Haryana.
