Royal Oak International School in Gurugram seeks an experienced PGT Physical Education Teacher to lead dynamic sports programs and inspire students through structured fitness and team-building activities. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily physical education classes, ensuring age-appropriate drills, games, and fitness routines. Monitor student participation and provide immediate feedback to encourage engagement. Organize outdoor activities like sports tournaments or team challenges to foster teamwork and sportsmanship. Maintain a safe and organized sports facility, including equipment and facilities.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and implement term-long sports programs that integrate academic learning with physical activity. Collaborate with other faculty to design interdisciplinary projects linking PE with subjects like science or health education. Attend school meetings and workshops to stay updated on curriculum trends and best practices in physical education. Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives, assessments, and differentiated activities for diverse student abilities.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress in sports and overall development. Organize school-wide events such as sports days, charity runs, or fitness challenges to boost community spirit. Review and update the PE curriculum based on student feedback and school goals, ensuring relevance and engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in Physical Education. A TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of sports science, injury prevention, and inclusive practices is essential. Experience in coaching or leading sports teams would be an asset.
