Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Political Science lessons that align with the state curriculum and foster critical analysis of political systems. Conduct classroom discussions on governance, public policy, and democratic processes, encouraging students to develop informed perspectives. Design and administer assessments, including exams, projects, and debates, to gauge student understanding and progress. Mentor students in research methodologies for political science assignments and guide them in preparing for competitive exams. Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that highlight the relevance of political science in real-world contexts. Maintain accurate attendance records and student performance data. Participate in school committees focused on curriculum development and student welfare.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Political Science or related field. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET preferred but not compulsory. Knowledge of current political developments and ability to relate them to classroom learning.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of teaching experience at the PGT level, preferably in a secondary school setting. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom of diverse learners and to inspire interest in political studies.
Salary
Rs.40,000 – Rs.50,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
